A $100 Vendor Microgrant is available for the Vallejo Art Walk,
2nd Friday on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Eligible recipients must:
- Display their own creative work
- Register at the Art Walk table before 5 PM
near the corner of Virginia & Marin - Be fully set up by 5 PM
- Remain through 8 PM minimum
- Set up on the 600 or 700 block of Marin St.
between Georgia and Capitol - Be present to receive the microgrant

The City Arts Gallery, located at the Solano County Arts Council Headquarters, presents a special exhibition featuring Roberta Weir, a Vallejo-based artist whose work reflects a lifetime of creativity, mentorship, and visual storytelling.
Roberta Weir was an art mentor to Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead, and this exhibition includes a selection of Garcia’s artwork shown alongside her own, highlighting a rare artistic relationship that bridges visual art and music culture.
“We are honored to feature Roberta Weir at City Arts Gallery,” said Carmen Slack, Executive Director of the Solano County Arts Council. “Her connection to an important chapter of American music history, combined with her own unique artistic vision, makes this exhibit truly special for our community.”
Dedicated to showcasing exceptional regional artists, City Arts Gallery continues its mission by celebrating a local artist whose influence extends beyond the gallery walls. This exhibition offers a unique look at the intersection of fine art, mentorship, and cultural history, while acknowledging the broader creative circle surrounding Jerry Garcia, including legendary concert promoter Bill Graham and artists connected to that era.
The exhibition remains on view through March at City Arts Gallery, 420 Virginia Street in Vallejo.

VISITOR INFO:
The Vallejo Art Walk takes place in downtown arts district, from 5pm-9pm the Second Friday of each month. Vallejo has a vibrant arts community, and the Art Walk is the perfect place to see the latest in local and regional art. You will find hand made crafts, gallery openings hosted by local artists, open shops, restaurants, live music, and so much more! Bambino’s Restaurant is open for food until 10 and other great restaurants are open during the walk as well!
ARTISTS / PERFORMERS / VENDORS:
Artists: Currently there is no fee for artists to present their work and no need to email beforehand to secure a spot to show and sell your work. It is best to arrive early to choose your space and coordinate with other artists.
Food Vendors: Contact Solano county and the city of Vallejo for licensing inquiries.
Performers: The City of Vallejo requires that any Amplified music on the street requires a permit. The Art Walk Planning Committee has secured a permit and is currently creating a performance schedule. Arty Facts #1: Temple Art Lofts
Vallejo’s Temple Art Lofts is located in the heart of downtown Vallejo’s burgeoning Arts and Entertainment District. Collectively, the project creates a true community of artists living and working in the heart of Vallejo’s Arts and Entertainment District.
This community of artists grew out of the historic preservation and adaptive reuse of the 1917 Masonic Temple and 1872 City Hall. These historic buildings are home to 29 artists live/work lofts, community art studio, grand performance hall and over 6,000 square feet of ground-floor art / retail space. It is a key catalyst project in the revitalization of downtown Vallejo.
The project features artist studio space and a fully renovated performance hall. Future plans may include: Ground floor retail space will include a café and office space for nonprofit arts organizations.
